The project “By dint of being wind” is the result of a collaboration between Istituto Italiano di Fotografia and Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, and it was run on the occasion of Lagazuoi Photo Award New Talents 2023. While participating in the residency at the funicular railway station guest house, photographer Giorgia Dal Molin illustrated personal and articulate feelings that tie her to the mountains: respect, fear, attachment, curiosity that created an emotional legacy that the photographer turned into images. The white outlines of rocks, the blue glimpses of the sky, the trails, the valley; the mountains turn into an affectionate lover and we – by dint of being wind – are deeply in love with her.
