On the night between 11 and 12 July 2023, Naples was illuminated by the burning of La Venere degli stracci by Michelangelo Pistoletto, installed only two weeks earlier in Piazza del Municipio, for the "Contemporary Naples" exhibition. The documentary follows some stages of the reconstruction of the Venus, of which only the steel structure was saved, and involves the protagonists of the operation starting from the artist himself, the mayor and the director of "Napoli Contemporanea", Vincenzo Trione. We will document the reconstruction process until the inauguration of the new sculpture which will then remain as a legacy to the city. This process of regeneration is in line with the ideas of a "collective" artist, such as Pistoletto, who strongly believes that a new Renaissance is possible thanks to his theory of the Third Paradise.
