BUILDING is thrilled to present, from April 4th to July 20th 2024, a solo exhibition by Hidetoshi Nagasawa, curated by Giorgio Verzotti. The exhibition, with an anhological perspective, documents the artsist's entire activity, from the videos that record his early performances to the large-scale sculptures that often involve daring balances - which have been his most typical feature at least since the 1980s -, up to the works of his very last period, exhibited here for the first time after his death. The exhibited selection is intended to emphasize two characteristics of Nagasawa's work: his attention to the relationship between the artwork and architecture, and his almost utopian vision of an apparently weightless sculpture, to the point that it is suspended in space and it seemes light event when it reaches monumental dimensions.
