Martina Simeti is pleased to announce Surf, Mimosa Echard's second solo exhibition at the gallery. On this occasion the French artist will present a series of new productions that straddle painting and sculpture. Mimosa Echard (1986, Alès, France) draws on biological research, the history of experimental cinema, and her personal biography to create works that blend sexuality, perception, and artifice. Her work is driven by continuous and contradictory processes of absorption, accumulation and circulation that can be observed in fields as diverse as popular culture, metabolic systems and electromagnetic phenomena.
