Female Figures
The classic great theme of the "female figure" explored through a special and captivating selection of Italian and European mannequins and sculptures from the 16th to the 20th century, made in the most diverse materials such as wood, wax, marble and bronze. A short journey animated by three-dimensional works which, moving between the universe of the sacred and the profane, aims to highlight some of the infinite formal and iconographic solutions developed by artists over the last five centuries, in an attempt to represent one of the subjects in a personal way. older and more recurring artistic ones such as that of women, in an often subtle and sophisticated balance between respect for tradition and the search for an unprecedented modernity.
